Technical solutions close to the customer
Finnveden Bulten often works closely with the customer and frequently has one or more resident engineers. This enables a full overview of all fasteners, both in production and in the development groups, and can even help to streamline the production process. This can be done either in the operation itself, or through the design and development of new products.
Thanks to the close working partnership, technical solutions can also be identified at a very early stage, making it easier to achieve good end results. The process often includes trying to keep the number of parts to a minimum, by identifying similar fasteners and finding opportunities to combine them.
Work groups and project management in line with customer needs
When a collaboration begins between Finnveden Bulten and a customer a work group is created, the size and composition of which depends on the scope of the assignment. A lot of emphasis is placed on putting together a group based on the specific needs of the project.
Project groups for large assignments, such as standardisation projects, require expertise in many areas such as technology, transport, procurement, quality and logistics, etc. while for smaller assignments an onsite resident engineer who is familiar with the customer’s day-to-day business may be enough. A sales organisation is also in place in the customer markets to ensure customers can speak to a fellow countryman at the right time of day.
Development Center supports entire chain
The resident engineers are in close contact with Finnveden Bulten’s Application Development Center, which has in-depth technical expertise and supports the entire chain, from the design of new fasteners to validation of existing screw joints and applications. The goal is always to find the best possible solution at the lowest possible cost.
Production and logistics with endless possibilities
Finnveden Bulten has extensive in-house manufacture of everything from standard products to customised special fasteners at production facilities in Sweden, Poland, Germany and China.
