Nuts

High-quality nuts for every application
Bulten offers a wide range of high quality nuts, using our in-depth knowledge of materials, processes, and technical requirements to meet your needs.
While often referred to as standard nuts, we tailor them specifically to customer specifications. We continuously innovate and optimize their performance to deliver superior solutions.
Our selection includes a diverse range of nut types, each designed to meet specific performance and application requirements. Whether for standard or highly specialized uses, we offer solutions that combine precision, durability, and innovation.
Hex nuts
The most common type of nut, with a six-sided hexagonal shape. Hex nuts are used with bolts for general fastening applications.
Flange nuts
Flange nuts have a built-in washer-like base to help distribute pressure and prevent surface damage. They also provide increased friction control compared to standard hex nuts.
Flange nuts with captive washer
These nuts have a built-in washer, like hex and flange nuts. This design helps distribute pressure to prevent damage and provides increased friction control compared to standard hex and flange nuts.
Lock Nuts
Lock nuts are designed to resist loosening due to vibration. They are available in several types, including nylon insert lock nuts and all-metal lock nuts. We also offer special designs and patented versions such as FS, H3C, HCN, and Ramtek.
Self-clinching nuts
Bulten’s Self Clinching Nuts are threaded fasteners which incorporate a knurled platform and a groove. This platform, when embedded in the sheet, causes the displaced material to flow evenly into the groove of the fastener to give a positive retention.
Self-clinching nuts include Rivet nuts, Pierce nuts and Press nuts. Read more about Traditional Self-Clinching Fasteners here.
Cap nuts
Cap nuts have a dome-shaped design that covers exposed bolt ends, providing both protection and a clean, finished look.
Wheel nuts
Wheel nuts are available in one-piece, two-piece, and three-piece designs:
- One-piece: Solid construction; the most common type.
- Two-piece: Features a separate rotating washer or cap to prevent damage to the wheel.
- Three-piece: Less common, but used in special applications; typically consists of a nut, washer, and external cover.
Weld nuts
Weld nuts are designed to be welded to a metal surface to provide a strong, permanent attachment point for bolts or screws. Several patterns are available based on material and shape:
- Round projections: Small, circular raised projections; ideal for thin sheet metal and soft materials.
- Spherical projections: Raised, semi-spherical projections for high-strength applications that require precision.
- Flat projections: Small, flat areas instead of raised points; suitable for applications requiring minimal surface deformation.
- Circular Ridge: A continuous circular ridge that helps create airtight or watertight joints.
- Three/four point projections: Three or four raised projections in an equal or square pattern, designed for high-strength connections and heavy-duty materials.
