Traditional Self-Clinching Fasteners

Self-clinching nuts
An internally-threaded press-in fastener. Installed into a round hole by applying a steady squeezing force. The serrated knurls provide anti-rotational torque performance, while the shank provides push-out performance. Traditional sizes are available for lighter-gauge metals, while larger-body versions are available for automotive and other heavy duty applications.
Advantages
- High torque resistance
- Reverse side of the sheet remains totally flush
- Small and neat, ideal for all electronics or precision equipment
- Easy assembly with any squeeze action press
P-FH / P-FHS self-clinching studs
An externally-threaded press-in fastener. Upon installation, the head is flush with the mating surface. Available in metric sizes M2.5 to M8, along with comparable imperial sizes.
Advantages
- Easy to assemble with any squeeze press
- High torque resistance
- No damage to decorative finishes on panels
- Visual proof of security
- Always perpendicular to panel
- Head installs flush with surface of sheet
P-HFH / P-HFHS self-clinching studs
An externally-threaded press-in fastener. This non-flush high-strength version is ideal for automotive and other heavy duty applications. Size ranges start at M5 and comparable imperial sizing.
Advantages
- Easy to assemble with any squeeze press
- High torque resistance
- Visual proof of security
- Always perpendicular to panel
- Made from through-hardened steel for high thread strength
Self-clinching stand-offs
Designed to serve as spacers or distance pieces. The hexagonal head provides anti-rotational torque performance, while the under-head groove provides push-out performance. Available in both thru-hole and blind versions.
Advantages
- Available in a range of spacer lengths
- Remains mechanically clinched in sheet
- For heavy duty applications LSS (Larger Support Surface) types are available (3.5m3 – 6440 – 8632)
- Through threaded and blind threaded ranges
- Plain hole versions available to special order
