Inspiring partnership with Swedish furniture manufacturer

In the fall, Bulten began an extraordinary collaboration with the Swedish furniture manufacturer VERK.
VERK creates design furniture with sustainability and traceability at its core. The company uses only Swedish raw materials and manufactures all of its furniture in Sweden. By supplying screws from its factory in Hallstahammar, Bulten supports VERK’s vision of a fully local and Swedish production chain, while contributing to Swedish furniture design at its finest.
"Even though this collaboration is on a smaller scale, it means a lot to us to be able to contribute directly to sustainable production chains. Of course, for the sake of the environment, but also to strengthen and support the Swedish manufacturing industry with transparent processes," says Per Folkeson, Innovation Manager at Bulten.
In the first step, Bulten provides screws for a flexible seating piece designed by award-winning Swedish designer Thomas Bernstrand. The furniture is built from smaller modules that can be combined into larger seating arrangements, primarily intended for public spaces.
"This may be one of Bulten's smaller partnerships, but it’s extremely important for us at VERK. The collaboration opens up an entirely new world of production possibilities. We are truly excited to see where this journey will take us," says Simon Anund, founder and Creative Director at VERK.
